Habits!
Getting into habits is generally healthy for people to do and with each habit that you build up, the easier it is to maintain
a stability. For this reason I have a list of habits I keep up, organized as "Dailies" or "Weeklies"... Though recently I have been lapsing on
many of these, primarily because I have been struggling to maintain my routines with a chaotic (but healthy) social life as of late.
Weeklies
-
I draw at least one picture per week.
-
I go to a bouldering gym at least three times a week. On off days, I'll supplement it with some other type
of physical activity, like a sport or a supplemental workout.
-
I always wake up at a set time six days out of the week. The one day I do not wake up at a set time (typically Saturday) is
meant for catching up on sleep since I struggle to fall asleep most days of the week and end up "falling behind". Though in all
honesty, that one break day is likely contributing to my inability to fall asleep during the rest of the week...
Miscellaneous
-
I keep my phone in greyscale. This is to make it less distracting, a common theme you'll see among
the other bullet points.
-
My electronics backgrounds I use are in black, or something else that is not overly distracting.
-
I do not use "browsing" social media, like Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, etc. Though I will make an exception for Facebook marketplace
if you are needing furniture or other items. In short, the only thing you really accomplish on 90% of social media is wasting the short time that you
have in your life. There are alternative and better ways to stay in touch with people.
-
I will only play video games in a social setting. Playing them alone is a complete waste of time, with incredibly rare exceptions.
